Drive the Track For A Good Cause at Richmond International Raceway
Back by popular demand, the RIR Cares Track Laps program is returning for its 2nd season at Richmond International Raceway. This is your chance to drive your personal vehicle around the 3/4 mile oval in exchange for a $20 donation to the Richmond International Raceway Cares-the track's donor advised fund at The NASCAR Foundation, which assists nonprofits throughout the Greater Richmond Metropolitan Area. 2013 Greek Festival Norfolk
The 2013 Greek Festival, Tidewater’s oldest and largest ethnic festival, will include the traditional Greek cuisine, exciting Greek entertainment, arts and crafts, beautiful jewelry, tours of the Cathedral, and the very popular Drive-Thru. Bring the whole family as we share our Greek hospitality with all ages. All proceeds from the festival benefit the Cathedral’s Ministries as well as local community charities. Food and music highlight the festival. Outdoor stands will sell everything from Souvlaki to Loukoumades — all homemade in the flavorful tradition of Greek cuisine. The food is available at the festival under the tents while listening to live music or indoors at the Hellenic Center. Take-out is also available. Beer Fest Norfolk
For the 12th year, the Virginia Beer Festival celebrates the art of beer with a bounty of brews from across the state, the country, and around the world. Grab a fellow fan of the frothy favorite and enjoy live music and the spring sun on Saturday, May 18 and Sunday, May 19 from 2:00 – 6:00 PM at Norfolk’s Town Point Park. With over 65 breweries on site, festival goers will have access to over 100 beers to sample along Norfolk’s beautiful waterfront. Beer connoisseurs can enhance their beer knowledge while listening to our Brewmaster Seminars throughout the day from Craft experts or visiting Homebrew USA to learn how to brew their very own batch! Patrons can enjoy live music from Celtic favorites Glasgow Kiss on Saturday and the beer inspired songs of the Esoteric Ramblers on Sunday.
