Back by popular demand, the RIR Cares Track Laps program is returning for its 2nd season at Richmond International Raceway. This is your chance to drive your personal vehicle around the 3/4 mile oval in exchange for a $20 donation to the Richmond International Raceway Cares-the track's donor advised fund at The NASCAR Foundation, which assists nonprofits throughout the Greater Richmond Metropolitan Area. 3rd Annual No Excuse for Child Abuse Poker Run

Join the Franklin City Department of Social Services in their 3^rd Annual “No Excuse for Child Abuse” event to help spread the word about Child Abuse Prevention and raise money for the Department’s Child Abuse Prevention Fund. This year will be their 3^rd Annual Poker Run starting at 10:00 a.m. from Paul D. Camp Community College, but this year there will also be a Cornhole Tournament, lunch catered by Nixon’s BBQ and tons of FREE fun for the kids such as a Bounce House, Clown, Face Painting, Balloon Animals and Cotton Candy. Each division has: 1^st, 2^nd, 3^rd place trophies Bass Only Division: 5 Fish Per Boat Artificial bait, 12” minimum $25.00 – adults (plus $5.00 launch fee) $15.00 – 15 yrs and under. Open & Junior Divisions: (Live or artificial bait) 6:15AM-2:15 PM Each participant will be allowed to weigh in 5 fish. Fishing from Boat: Bass (12” minimum), Crappie, & Catfish only Fishing from Shore: (Marina only) Weigh in what you catch. $25.00 – adults plus $5 launch fee (boats) or $2 shore fee. $15.00 – 15 yrs. and under. Juniors compete only against other juniors. (First child pays, second is free) All participants in the same boat must be in the same division. All state regulations must be followed. Registration date and time will determine order of blastoff. Wayne Hayes will be doing the weigh in.
