That’s it for Van Halen … for now

Van Halen’s touring cycle for its 2012 album A Different Kind Of Truth has come to an end.  Singer David Lee Roth posted a video online thanking fans for their support of the tour, which officially wrapped up with the second of just two U.S. dates the band played in 2013, at the California Mid-State Fair.  A Different Kind Of Truth, the band’s first album with Roth in 28 years, came out February 7th of last year, their tour started 11 days later.  But it came to a halt during that summer due to exhaustion and was further sidelined by Eddie Van Halen’s surgery for diverticulitis.  The group returned this year for a gig in Australia, four dates in Japan and the two U.S. shows.  Check out Diamond Dave’s message to the fans!
