I am nominating my girlfriend for Hero of the Week for her outstanding medical knowledge and dedication during deployment. She is an Independent Duty Corpsman acting as the sole medical provider for the Marines and Navy team out of Rota Spain. She is constantly on the go every day playing dual roles as a provider and a support Corpsman for anything and everything the Marines and Navy throws at her. She is the only medical provider for over 200 people, while making sure that everyone is healthy and able to go outside the wire to austere environments. Her knowledge and compassion for medicine is proven through her hard work and courage of serving with all branches. I am nominating her for her heroism and unrelenting devotion to her job and duty as an Independent Duty Corpsman and Sailor of the United States Navy.
