A representative for Gerard Butler has dismissed speculation he is dating Reese Witherspoon, just months after she split from Jake Gyllenhaal.
America's Star magazine claimed the Scottish actor was consoling the newly-single Legally Blonde actress after her break-up late last year.
A source told the publication, "Reese's friends are giggling about her secretly meeting up with Gerard. She thinks he's super-hot! They've hung out a few times, mostly at his place in L.A."
But Gerard's rep has shot down the report, telling GossipCop.com it is "not true".
