It’s time to pick the drivers in Arlo’s Fantasy Racing presented by Larry King Law’s Langley Speedway! Each week, you’ll have the chance to win:
- A pair of wristbands for Motor World, your place to race
- A free oil change at Sullivan’s Family Auto Repair
- 4 tickets to Larry King Law’s Langley Speedway valid for the 2025 season (not valid for non-NASCAR events, CARS tour, or Hampton Heat
- a $25 Bubba’s 33 gift certificate
Plus, the overall winner at the end of the season will score a prize package valued at $250!
Beginning 2/10/25 at 12:00am and going through 15 minutes prior to the posted time of the final race of the season on 11/2/25, entrants must go to the “Fantasy Racing” contest page on 1069thefox.com, create an Audience account, and choose their drivers for each race of the season. Entries will be accepted until 15 minutes prior to the published start time for each race as posted on the picks page of 1069thefox.com. The first race of the season that will be part of this game is scheduled for 2/16/25. The final race of the season is scheduled for 11/2/25. Entrants must include all required registration information to register and agree to terms for Audience.
On the business day after each race (or as soon as NASCAR certifies the race results), a WAFX staffer will access the Audience platform to see the name of the winner. Audience determines the weekly winner using the following formula: Each correct pick will be worth up to 10 points with a total of 100 points possible for each race. If you accurately select the correct driver in the correct finishing position you receive the full 10 points for that selection. For each position your selection varies from actual finishing position (regardless of whether it is higher or lower than actual) one point is subtracted from the available 10 points for that position.
For example, if you guess a driver to be in 5th place, and they get 5th place, you will get the full 10 points. Conversely, if you guess a driver to be in 5th place, and they get 10th place, you will get 5 points (your guess being five positions away from the actual finishing position). Alternatively, if you guess a driver to be in 5th place, and they get 1st place, you will get 6 points (your guess being four positions away from the actual finishing position). If you select a driver who does not finish in the top 10 you receive zero points for that position. The closer you are to the correct position, the more points you receive.
The user that earns the most points for each game will be the prize winner. In case of a tie, a random draw between all top ranked players will be performed to determine that week’s winner. A WAFX staffer will notify each weekly winner by phone. This station is conducting this contest concurrently and simultaneously with one other station in Hampton Roads, VA affiliated with Tidewater Communications. Listeners of WAFX will, therefore, be competing with listeners of one other radio station to win the same prize.
Each weekly winner will receive:
- a pair of 3 hour Pro wristbands(Over 48”) for Motor World (ARV: $138)
- a free oil change with up to 5 quarts of conventional oil at Sullivan’s Family Auto Repair (ARV: $65)
- a $25 Bubba’s 33 gift certificate
Total ARV: $228
Weekly winners will be notified by phone and may pick up their prizes at the station immediately upon winning.
At the end of the season, the user that earned the most points overall will win a prize valued at $250 consisting of concert/event tickets, gift cards, and/or other prizes. In case of a tie, a random drawing amongst all tied users will be performed to determine the overall winner. Winner will be notified by phone and may pick up the prize at the station immediately upon winning.
No purchase necessary. In the case of any query or discrepancy, the winner will ultimately be decided at the sole discretion of WAFX.
WAFX contests are open to all eligible Hampton Roads or northeast North Carolina residents who live or work within 75 miles of our transmitter 18 or older. Any prize awarded to an ineligible listener will be deemed null and void, and an alternate eligible winner may be named.
One entry per person per race. Submitting more than one entry per person will invalidate all entries by that contestant. Any entry submitted on behalf of another individual or using another person’s email address or name will be disqualified and ineligible to claim any prize. Any attempt by any participant to obtain more than the stated number of entries allowed by using same, multiple/different email addresses, identities, or any other methods void that participant’s entries and that participant may be disqualified. In the event of a dispute as to any on-line registration, the authorized account holder of the e-mail address used to register will be deemed to be the registrant and he/she must be eligible according to these Official Rules. No mechanically reproduced or automated entries permitted. Use of any automated system to participate is prohibited and will result in disqualification and all such entries will be deemed void.
Employees of WAFX, Tidewater Communications, LLC, and its ultimate parent company, Saga Communications, Inc., their advertising agencies, affiliates, contest sponsors, employees and immediate families of each, and employees of all media of mass communication within a one hundred mile radius of the WAFX main studio are not eligible to win any contest. Immediate family includes the spouse, great-grandparents, grandparents, parents, brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of the employee and his/her spouse. This also includes individuals for whom the employee is current legal guardian.
No purchase necessary. WAFX’s Sole responsibility will be to award the prize. WAFX will have no further responsibility in connection with the prize if the prize winner, for any reason, cannot or decides not to use any of the prizes. Winners will be responsible for all federal and state taxes, and any fees and incidentals. Prizes are not transferrable or redeemable for cash.
