Celebrate 40 Years with Arlo

ARLO-40

The Fox is proud to congratulate Mike Arlo on his 40th Anniversary on Hampton Roads radio!

In an industry known for constant turnover, Mike Arlo has been a constant presence in Hampton Road rock radio. He played the classics when they were brand new. He helped you make it a great day with his positive, enthusiastic personality. He’s been involved in so many charitable events it would be impossible to list them all.

Over the next couple of weeks, we’ll be posting pictures from Arlo’s first 40 years on the radio, 21 years on WNOR and the last 19 on the Fox. We welcome your memories, photos and comments as well! Please post them in the comments below.

And as Arlo would say, Bicycle, make it a Great Day!

“I listened to Arlo on FM99 for years, but missed him when he didn’t initially go to 106.9. Was pleased to hear him when he also switched. Thought about him last night at the 50th anniversary of Alice’s Restaurant with Arlo Guthrie as he is known to play that on Thanksgiving at noon (even from his bed with a bad back). Happy 40th Mike!” – Jim Drummond
