Dave’s Australian Adventures Part 8

One of the more sacred locations in Australia is Uluru/Ayers Rock. The area is sacred to the Pitjantjatjara Anangu, they were the Aborigine people who were at that land for a number of years until settlers took over the land in the 1800s. The land was given back in 1985 and it was agreed upon to let the area continue to be used be a tourist attraction.  I was able to tour the rock and some of the cave drawings, later one I was able to see the sunset on the rock as it changed color and then the sunrise the following morning.
