1983 – Dave Mustaine is kicked out of Metallica because of his ongoing drug and alcohol addictions. Dave would later form Megadeth.
1991 – Ringo Starr becomes the first Beatle to appear on the Simpsons, he requested that he would be drawn like his character in the Yellow Submarine movie as he was not crazy about his animation in the Beatles Cartoon.
1992 – Pearl Jam makes their US Television debut with a performance of two songs on Saturday Night Live
2014 – Nirvana and KISS were inducted into the rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
