1973 – Lynyrd Skynyrd released their debut album. The album features the classics “Simple Man”, “Tuesday’s Gone”, “Gimme Three Steps” & “Free Bird”.

1980 – Four masked men broke into Todd Rundgren’s home in Woodstock, NY. They tie up Rundgren and steal Hi-Fi equipment and paintings. Rundgren later claimed he heard one of the thieves humming “I Saw the Light”.

1982 – Don Henley released his debut solo album “I Can’t Stand Still“. The album features the number three hit “Dirty Laundry“.

1999 – The Kiss-produced movie “Detroit Rock City“, the story of fans on their way to a KISS concert in Detroit, opens nationwide. The movie bombs at the box office.

2017 – David Bowie makes a posthumous appearance in the TV series “Twin Peaks: The Return“. Director David Lynch used archive footage from the movie “Fire Walk With Me” to bring Bowie to life in the episode.
