1965 – The Beatles put on their most famous concert as they’re the first rock band to play at Shea Stadium in New York. The screaming girls in the crowd of 56,000 drown out the band throughout most of the performance.

1969 – It’s Day 1 of the Woodstock festival on Max Yasgur’s 60-acre farm in Bethel, New York. Day 1 didn’t feature the biggest acts but did include Richie Havens, Joan Baez, Tim Hardin and Arlo Guthrie. (That’s far out man)

1979 – Led Zeppelin release their eighth and final studio album, “In Through The Out Door”. The album is released in a brown paper bag and with 6 different covers.

1980 – George Harrison released his autobiography “I Me Mine”, he’s becomes the first Beatle to have memoirs published.
