1962 – Robert Zimmerman legally changes his name to Bob Dylan.

1971 – Creedence Clearwater Revival kicked off their final North American tour in Tulsa, OK.

1975 – The Eagles hit number one for the second time on the single charts with “One of These Nights”.

2004 –  Eric Clapton bought a controlling interest in a men’s clothing store called Cordings, which opened in 1839 and had supplied riding boots to the Royal Family, to prevent it from closing.

2007 – Keith Richards signed a deal reportedly worth more than $7 million to write his autobiography. The book, called “Life”, hit stores in the Fall of 2010.
