1967: During his 21st birthday party celebration, The Who’s Keith Moon drives his Lincoln Continental into a pool at the Holiday Inn in Flint, MI which earned The Who a lifetime ban from the chain.

1975: Queen began recording “Bohemian Rhapsody”. The song took three weeks to record and featured 180 separate overdubs.

1981: The Rolling Stones release “Tattoo You” featuring “Start Me Up“, “Waiting on a Friend” and “Hang Fire“.

1989: The Who performs a special 20th anniversary charity concert of their rock opera “Tommy” in Los Angeles, special guests include Elton John, Steve Winwood, Phil Collins, and Billy Idol (as Cousin Kevin).

2008: Jimmy Page and pop star Leona Lewis perform Zeppelin’s “Whole Lotta Love” during the closing ceremony of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games at the National Stadium. The lyrics had to be changed as officials didn’t want Leona singing every “Inch of My Love” she instead sang “Every Bit“.
