1987: Def Leppard releases their fourth album “Hysteria” which would go on to became a number 1 Album & sell 12 million copies in the U.S. alone.
1991: Metallica held a listening party at Madison Square Garden for their self-titled fifth album, commonly referred to as the black album. Drummer Lars Ulrich commented to MTV that the only annoying thing was that album played the Garden before the band did. Metallica didn’t play Madison Square Garden until March of 1997.
2007: It was better late than never as Queen guitarist Brian May handed in his astronomy PhD thesis at Imperial College in London, 36 years after he abandoned it to join Queen.
