1965 – The Grateful Dead perform their first concert in San Francisco’s legendary Fillmore Auditorium (it’s their second concert overall).

1967 – The Steve Miller Blues Band signs to Capitol for an unprecedented $750,000. The band drops “Blues” from their name in the process.

1971 – Frank Zappa is pushed off stage by a jealous boyfriend during a concert at London’s Rainbow Theatre. Zappa was seriously injured as he suffered a broken leg & a fractured skull. He spent 9 months in a wheelchair while recovering.

1976 – Wings release the live album “Wings Over America”.

1983 – Stevie Nicks performs on Saturday Night Live for the first time where she plays “Stand Back” & “Nightbird”

2007 – Led Zeppelin performs their one-off show at London’s O2 Arena. It’s one of the biggest reunions in rock history. John Bonham’s son, Jason, plays drums at the show., Critics call the show triumphant. The concert is later released as “Celebration Day”.

2016 – Bob Dylan accepts the Nobel Prize in Literature. However, he doesn’t attend the ceremony, he sends an insightful speech that is read by the US ambassador to Sweden.
