1976 – It was the day that a pig did fly as a 40-foot inflatable pig that was being photographed outside of London for Pink Floyd “Animals” album cover, when it broke free from its moorings & flew away. Flights were cancelled and pilots were warned about the flying pig that reached a height of 18,000 before landing 30 miles away.
1979 – Tragedy in Cincinnati as eleven people were trampled to death and dozens were injured as fans stampeded in a rush to claim general admission seats at The Who’s concert at the Riverfront Coliseum in Cincinnati.
2014 – A fake MSNBC report claimed that Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose died in his West Hollywood home. The band’s official Facebook page posts photos of the singer with the caption “Ha! They say I’m dead — again… Wait, what? It’s a hoax.”
