1972 – Led Zeppelin were forced to cancel a scheduled in Singapore as the country’s officials refused to let the band members off the plane because of their long hair.

1981 – Here’s an amazing feat, Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon became the longest running rock album on the Billboard Album Chart with its 402nd consecutive week. The album spends 741 consecutive weeks on the chart.

1982 – Lynyrd Skynyrd singer Ronnie Van Zant’s gravestone was stolen from an Orange Park, FL, cemetery. Police found it a couple of week later in a dry river bed. That gravestone weighed 300 pounds.

2004 – Led Zeppelin received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Grammys.

2007 – Billionaire Steve Schwarzman threw himself a 60th birthday party in New York City, and he paid Rod Stewart $1 million to perform.
