1964 – The Beatles make a second appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show, TV audiences were estimated at 70 million.
1972 – Led Zeppelin made their Australian debut with the first of six concerts in Perth. Some footage from the concert would later end up in the Led Zeppelin DVD release in 2004.
1990 – Just a day before he turns 18, Billie Joe Armstrong drops out of high school. A week later, he releases the first album with his band Green Day called 39/Smooth.
1993 – The Faces featuring Rod Stewart and Ronnie Wood have an impromptu reunion at the Brit Awards.
2015 – Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea ends up breaking his arm in five places after a snowboarding accident.
