1970 – For one night only Led Zeppelin changed their name The Nobs before a concert in Copenhagen, Denmark as the band was threatened with a lawsuit from the family of the late Ferdinand von Zeppelin.
1983 – U2 released their third studio album War which features “Sunday Bloody Sunday” and “New Year’s Day”.
1985 – Bruce Springsteen wins to a ton of awards in the Rolling Stone reader’s poll including Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, Songwriter of the Year just to name a few.
1987 – Eddie Van Halen appeared on Saturday Night Live, but not to perform, the episode was being hosted by his then-wife Valerie Bertinelli.
1996 – The original members of Kiss appeared at the Grammy Awards. It was the first time in 17 years that the band had appeared in full make-up and costumes.
