1964 – It’s the birth of Beatlemania in the US as the Beatles land in the United States for their first tour
1969 – The Who record Pinball Wizard
1979 – Stephen Stills became the first rock performer to record on digital equipment in Los Angeles’ Record Plant Studio. These sessions have never been released.
1980 – AC/DC appear on the TV Show Top of the Pops, where they perform “A Touch Too Much.” This would be lead singer Bon Scott’s last appearance with the band.
1980 – Pink Floyd began a 7-night stay in Los Angeles and performed The Wall for first time in its entirely. The concert featured a wall built between the band and the audience during the first half of the concert.
1993 – Neil Young records his Unplugged appearance. Unhappy with his and the bands performance, they rerecord the show.
