1969 – Led Zeppelin’s first album was released in the US.
1974 – Steve Miller’s “The Joker” hits #1 in the US
1977 – The Police had their first ever rehearsal at drummer’s Stewart Copeland’s London flat.
1981 – It was reported that the White House had expanded its record library by including albums by Bob Dylan, KISS and the Sex Pistols.
1993 – Cream, Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Doors, Van Morrison, and Sly & the Family Stone are were inducted into the Rock and hall of Fame.
1995 – Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inducted The Allman Brothers Band, Al Green, Janis Joplin, Neil Young, Frank Zappa, Led Zeppelin. When Zeppelin was inducted, John Paul Jones threw some dirt onto Jimmy Page and Robert Plant as he was still mad that he found out about the Page/Plant reunion through the press and not his former Zeppelin members.
1998 – The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inducted the Eagles, Fleetwood Mac and Santana
