Happy Birthday:  Trevor Rabin of Yes. He’s also a film composer with more than 40 movies to his credits including National Treasure and Remember the Titans born 1954.

1970 – Steel Mill, a band that Bruce Springsteen was a member of played at The Matrix in San Francisco, California. The scheduled headliner was Boz Scaggs but he cancelled at the last minute due to illness. Rock critic Philip Elwood of the San Fransisco Examiner, intending to review Scaggs, ended up writing a highly favorable review of Steel Mill.

1973 – Eric Clapton recorded his comeback concert at the Rainbow Theatre, London. It was released later in the year as “Eric Clapton’s Rainbow Concert.”

1986Ozzy Osbourne is taken to court by the parents of John McCollum, a teenager who shot himself while listening to his song “Suicide Solution”. John’s parents claim that their son was driven to suicide by Ozzy’s song. The court later throws the case out.

1998 – Quiet Riot lead singer Kevin Dubrow was released from jail. He was arrested for failing to pay a judgment against him stemming from an incident at a 1994 concert. A woman claimed that he threw another fan on top of her breaking her leg.
