1976 – Concert promoter Bill Sargent offers the Beatles $30 million to re-unite for one show. He proposes that the band play together at least a 20 minute set. The former Beatles quickly turn him down.

1994 – The Ninth Annual Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremonies are held in New York City. Some of the Inductees include The Animals, The Band, The Grateful Dead, Elton John, John Lennon, Bob Marley, and Rod Stewart. Axl Rose performs with Bruce Springsteen at the event – it is Axl’s last public appearance until 1998.
