1972 – On the first date of their UK tour, Pink Floyd attempts to premiere their new album The Dark Side of The Moon but because of technical issues with the backing track to the song “Money” the band bails on the idea.

1982 – Ozzy Osbourne would undergo a series of rabies shots after he bit a head off of a live bat, he thought it was one of the rubber ones he used in his act.

1983 – Def Leppard release Pyromania, an album that would sell more than 10 million copies.

1988 – The Beatles , Bob Dylan, and many others are inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

2011 – Aerosmith singer Steven Tyler made his debut appearance as a judge on American Idol as he replaced Simon Cowell for the show’s tenth season.

2022 – Meat Loaf passed away at the age of 74.
