1966 – Beatle George Harrison marries his long-time girlfriend, fashion model Patti Boyd, whom he met on the set of the Beatles’ first movie, A Hard Day’s Night. Years later, Patti would marry Eric Clapton, in May 1979.
I1979 – for first time the since the 1977 plane crash that killed three of their members. Lynyrd Skynyrd reunite at the Volunteer Jam in Nashville, Tennessee. They perform an instrumental version of “Free Bird” alongside The Charlie Daniels Band.
1984 – Yes hits the top spot of the singles chart with their only number one “Owner Of A Lonely Heart”.
1984 – Bon Jovi‘s debut album was released.
1990 – MTV’s “Unplugged” made its debut with Squeeze as the first performers.
2005 – Journey was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
2006 – A plane carrying Bon Jovi skidded off the runway at Hamilton International Airport in Canada. Nobody was hurt.
