1993 – Geffen Records sues Eagle Don Henley for $30 million claiming a breach of contract, claiming that he failed to deliver the final two albums in his contract. The suit would be settled with undisclosed terms out of court.

2001 – Aerosmith performs at the Super Bowl 35 Halftime show with Britney Spears.

2015 – Motley Crue announced that they would perform for the last time on New Year’s Eve in Los Angeles. The band went so far as signing a Cessation of Touring contract during a press conference to promise they will play no more gigs after 2015.

2016 – American guitarist and icon from the Woodstock era, Jefferson Airplane founder, Paul Kantner died in San Francisco at the age of 74.
