1984 – The Police announced that their farewell concert would be March 2 in Australia.
2003 – Green Day’s lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving after being stopped in California. He was taken to jail and later released on after posting bail of $1,053.
2004 – Kinks singer Ray Davies was shot in the leg while running after two men who stole his girlfriend’s purse in New Orleans. His injuries were not considered serious.
2016 – Guns N’ Roses confirm that Slash and Duff McKagan, who have not performed with them since 1993, will join them for their headline set at Coachella. They later would announce a full “Not in this lifetime… Tour” which would last for over 2 years.
