In 1985 one of the more important music festivals took place. Live Aid. It was organized by Bob Geldof to raise funds for famine relief in Ethiopia. The Event was held in two locations London’s Wembley Stadium and Philadelphia’s JFK Stadium.
Some of the highlights included sets from U2, David Bowie, and The Who. Phil Collins performed a set with Eric Clapton in London and then flew to the US to perform with a reunited Led Zeppelin who performed together for the first time since their breakup. The most memorable part of Live Aid was the performance of Queen.
The band’s set including performances of Radio Gaga and Bohemian Rhapsody the set also became the focal point of the Queen Biopic Bohemian Rhapsody when it was released in 2018
