1969: The Jimi Hendrix Experience played their final concert together at the Denver Pop Festival. Shortly after the show, bassist Noel Redding and drummer Mitch Mitchell quit the band.
1981: Foreigner released their fourth album 4 which contained “Urgent” and “Juke Box Hero“. The Album would become their first and only album to number one album in the U.S. and sell over 6 million copies.
1991: Axl Rose spots a fan illegally recording their concert in St. Louis, MO with a video camera and jumped into the audience to go after him. The band ends their show early and a riot breaks out destroying the groups gear.
2005: The Live 8 concerts were held in 9 different venues to raise awareness of African poverty. Performers included U2, The Who, Bon Jovi, Elton John and Pink Floyd which featured Roger Waters performing with the band for the first time in 24 years.
2014: Mötley Crüe begins their final tour in Grand Rapids, MI.
