1968: Talk about a going out of business sale. The Beatles’ Apple Boutique, in London, closes after seven months of theft and bad business practices. Apple Boutique employees are instructed to simply let people in off the street to take whatever merchandise they like. The store was closed that evening for good.
1991: Metallica releases “Enter Sandman” providing a preview of what was to come from the upcoming Black Album.
1991: Axl Rose threatened to cancel a Guns N’ Roses concert in LA after the limo he was riding in was pulled over for making a wrong turn. The officer tore up the ticket and the band went on to perform.
2003: When the disease SARS spreads to Toronto, the city tourism as a lot of people don’t want to visit.. To get visitors back, the city puts on a huge concert that features The Rolling Stones, AC/DC The Guess Who, Rush and more. The show draws about 450,000 people attend.
2006: Axl Rose was unable to finish his set with Guns N’ Roses at a show in London’s Wembley Arena. Former Skid Row singer Sebastian Bach saves the day and sings the final two songs in their set.
