1966 – John Lennon’s statement that The Beatles were ‘more popular than Jesus’ was published in The London Evening Standard. This resulted in the burning of Beatle records and even some stations stopped play Beatles songs temporally. Lennon later apologized.

1970 – Janis Joplin was fined $200 for using obscene language during a concert in Tampa in November 1969.

1977 – The Stones record part of their Love You Live album in Toronto.

1984 – The Police play the final concert of their Synchronicity tour in Melbourne, Australia. It is their last big show together, until 2007.
