1979 – Jefferson Airplane’s Marty Balin premiered his new rock opera called “Rock Justice” in San Francisco for a four-day run. The opera was about a rock star who was jailed for failing to produce a hit for his record company.
1990 – Talk about a rough day, Rolling Stones’ Ron Wood crashes his M4 in England and as he’s waving other cars past him he’s hit by a car breaking both of his legs.
2002 – Paul McCartney changes the writing credits on his “Back in the U.S.” to McCartney and Lennon on songs that he wrote. This move outraged fans who always preferred the Lennon/McCartney songwriting credit.
