1974 – George Harrison became the first Beatle to tour as a solo act as he kicked off his first tour in Vancouver.

1978 – The Police release their debut album “Outlandos d’Amour”. The album features “Roxanne” and “Can’t Stand Losing You” and has sold more 3 million copies

1979 –  The Who’s film “Quadrophenia” is released in the U.S. The film features Sting making his acting debut as Ace Face.

1995 – Chrissie Hynde of The Pretenders guest stars on the Friends episode “The One with the Baby on the Bus.” She learns how to play “Smelly Cat” from Lisa Kudrow’s character Phoebe.

2018 – The Queen biopic “Bohemian Rhapsody” opens in theaters. The film would win four Oscars and become the highest grossing music biopic of all time.
