Happy Birthday: Steven Van Zandt-guitarist for Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band born in 1949. Tina Weymouth- Talking Heads bassist  born in 1950

1968 -The Beatles release “The White Album”, the official title is “The Beatles”. The 30 song double album features “Back in the U.S.S.R.” and “Birthday”. The band didn’t release any singles from the album which has sold more than 12 Million copies in the US.

1994 – Pearl Jam release their third album “Vitalogy”, but only on vinyl. The CD version would come out two weeks later.

2006 – After living in California for decades, Fleetwood Mac’s Mick Fleetwood is finally naturalized as a citizen of the United States.

2002 – Ray Manzarek and Robby Krieger announce plans to re-form the Doors with The Cult lead singer, Ian Astbury, and The Police drummer, Stewart Copeland. They initially tour as “The Doors of the 21st Century,” until a lawsuit by John Densmore, forces them to stop using the “Doors” moniker. They band changes their name to “Riders on the Storm”.
