1971 – Ray Manzarek, Robbie Krieger & John Densmore announce that The Doors would continue despite Jim Morrison’s death earlier in the year. The band would later split up in October of 1973.
1976 – The Band play their farewell performance in a concert movie called “The Last Waltz”. The band is joined on stage by Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Eric Clapton, Joni Mitchell and Van Morrison among others.
1978 – During an Aerosmith concert at The Spectrum in Philadelphia, Steven Tyler is hit in the face with a bottle thrown from the audience. The band leaves the stage and cancels the show. Joe Perry tells the crowd, “We love you, but you can’t throw things at us.”
2000 – A burglar broke into Alice Cooper’s home in Paradise Valley, CA and steals over $6,000 worth of items and four of Alice’s Gold records.
