1969 – The Rolling Stones record “Get Yer Ya-Ya’s Out!” at New York Madison Square Garden. Jimi Hendrix attends the show celebrating his 27th birthday.

1970 – George Harrison releases “All Things Must Pass”, the first solo album he recorded after The Beatles broke up. The album is considered one of the best solo albums made by a Beatle.

1981 – The Grateful Dead & The Allman Brothers Band canceled their scheduled concert at the Tangerine Bowl in Orlando because of poor ticket sales. As they sold only 10,000 tickets for a venue that seated 60,000.

1991 – Freddie Mercury’s private funeral is held in London. Elton John and Mercury’s Queen bandmates attend the private service.

2000 – The Beatles top the US album charts with their album “1” a collection of their 27 chart-topping hits.
