2002 – after Axl Rose’s flight is delayed to Vancouver promoters pull the plug on a Guns and Roses concert. Fans riot and 12 are arrested.
2003 – Pink Floyd’s David Gilmour is made a Commander of the Order of the British Empire by Queen Elizabeth II for his services to music.
2003 – The Hong Kong government hires The Rolling Stones to perform in China to assure people and tourists that the concert is safe after a recent SARS outbreak.
