1977 – Lynyrd Skynyrd release “Street Survivors”, it’s their last album with frontman Ronnie Van Zant and guitarist Steve Gaines.

1980 – Bruce Springsteen releases “The River”.

1995 – Sting’s former accountant was found guilty of embezzling over $9 million from the singer. He was sentenced to six years in jail. During the trial it was revealed that Sting at the time had 108 bank accounts worldwide.

2000 – At a charity auction in London, Pop singer George Michael pays 1.5 million pounds for the upright piano on which John Lennon wrote the 1971 hit “Imagine.”

2000 – Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi releases his first solo album called Iommi. The album featured guest appearances by Queen’s Brian May, Dave Grohl, Billy Idol, & Iommi’s Black Sabbath bandmates Ozzy Osbourne & Bill Ward.
