1969 –  Rod Stewart joined the group Faces as its lead singer.

1988 – The Supergroup, The Traveling Wilburys, consisting of Bob Dylan, George Harrison, Jeff Lynne, Roy Orbison & Tom Petty release their debut album “Traveling Wilburys Vol. 1.” The album would go on to sell three million copies in the U.S.

1989 – During a Guns N’ Roses set in LA, Axl Rose announced he was quitting the band. The following night, Rose apologizes for saying that he would quit & delivered a five minute anti-drug oration as some of his bandmates where battling drugs at the time.

1994 –  Hell froze over as the Eagles release “Get Over It” their first song from their reunion album Hell Freezes Over.
