1974 – Cheap Trick play their first concert in their hometown of Rockford, IL
1975 – Queen release “Bohemian Rhapsody” which was the most expensive single ever recorded at the time. The song would make it to number nine in 1976 & at number two in 1992 after being used in the “Wayne’s World” Movie.
1986 – Roger Waters sues David Gilmour and Nick Mason to stop them from using the Pink Floyd name for future recordings and tours. The group settles out of court with the deal that Gilmour and Mason can use the Pink Floyd name & Waters can use The Wall.
2011 – One of the more interesting collaboration albums is released. “Lulu”, an album with Metallica and Lou Reed working together. And apparently James Hetfield forgot his glasses at the day of recording The albums first single “The View,” instead of singing “I am the Tablet” he says “I am the table!” oops…
