1979 – Fleetwood Mac released their first double album “Tusk” the follow-up to “Rumours”. The production costs were over 1 million for the album, making it one of the most expensive albums for its time.

1986 – Elton John and David Lee Roth appear on the opening night of “The Late Show” starring Joan Rivers.

1988 – Keith Richards appeared as a musical guest on “Saturday Night Live.”

1988 – Def Leppard tops the Singles Chart for the first and only time with “Love Bites”. The song was their fifth single released off their “Hysteria” album.

1990 – Eddie Vedder arrives in Seattle, where he meets his Pearl Jam bandmates for the first time and starts recording their debut album, “Ten”.

2012 – Green Day cancels their appearance at the New Orleans’ “Voodoo Music Festival”, citing Billie Joe Armstrong’s problems with substance abuse and rehab.
