1975 – Rush release their third album “Caress of Steel”. The album sells poorly and the band chalks up the album’s lack of focus and quality to copious amounts of marijuana consumed during its making.
1979 – The Eagles release their last studio album before their initial break up “The Long Run”. The album would reach number 1 and sell over seven million copies in the U.S.
1991 – Soundgarden release their breakthrough album “Badmotorfinger” and on the same day Nirvana releases the groundbreaking album “Nevermind” and help bring alternative rock to a large mainstream audience.
1993 – Guns N’ Roses’ Steven Adler agrees to a $2.5 million settlement in a lawsuit brought against the band and their managers. Adler signed away his interest when he left the band in 1990 but claimed he was seriously impaired at the time and was taken advantage of.
