1982 – Bruce Springsteen releases Nebraska, It’s an album that was made up of tunes that Bruce recorded on a 4-track tape machine in his home studio.

1989 – Neil Young performs “Rockin’ In The Free World” on “Saturday Night Live”.

1993 – George Harrison and David Crosby made guest appearances on the season premiere of “The Simpsons” fifth season, which featured Homer Simpson in a barbershop quartet that made several references to The Beatles throughout the episode.

1998 – How’s this for a fun episode of the “Drew Carey Show”.  ZZ Top’s Dusty Hill, Cheap Trick’s Rick Nielsen, Slash, Joey Ramone, Megadeth’s Dave Mustaine, and Joe Walsh make a cameo appearances auditioning for Drew’s band. Joe Walsh gets the job.
