1965: Here’s some irony, while looking for a guard dog, The Who’s van and $10,000 worth of equipment is stolen.

1975: Bob Seger and The Silver Bullet Band began a two-night stand at Cobo Hall in Detroit where they recorded the “Live Bullet” album.

1976: Fleetwood Mac’s self-titled album finally tops the album chart over a year after its release.

1982: Steve Miller’s “Abracadabra” tops the singles charts. It’s Steve’s third chart-topper.

1996: The MTV Video Music Awards were held and featured the original lineup of Van Halen in their first public appearance since 1984. They didn’t perform but Kiss, Neil Young and Metallica did.
