1991: At the MTV’s annual Video Music Awards, R.E.M. won six awards for “Losing My Religion” including Video of the Year. During the show Poison Guitarist C.C. DeVille sabotages the band’s performance by playing “Talk Dirty to Me” instead of “Unskinny Bop“. He’s kicked out of the band for 5 years.
2008: The first Fender Stratocaster set on fire on stage by Jimi Hendrix is auctioned. The guitar sells for ONLY $575,000 to a collector – less than the $1 million predicted.
2018: Fleetwood Mac debut their new lineup on the daytime talk show Ellen, Neil Finn and Mike Campbell perform with the band replacing the recently fired Lindsey Buckingham.
