Ret. Lieutenant Daniel Gonzalez was nominated by Ava, who had the following to say about him: “Lt. Daniel Gonzalez retired after 20 years in the Navy- when me and my sisters were still in elementary school! He has embodied the principles of the US military since his time in the service, and stressed the importance to us as children. Honor, courage, and commitment were always our guide and he continues to lead by example. My dad is an amazing model of service to our country and community. His family and friends are lucky to have him!”
