Donna Stafford, US Navy

Donna was nominated by Bryan Groves,

Captain Donna Stafford is a hero in every sense of the word. She is the most senior nurse captain in the entire US Navy and has earned her title by hard work and 33 years of dedication to service of our country. She is truly selfless and gives her time willingly to those in need. Last year, she volunteered to go on deployment on the Comfort to South America where she helped thousands of people affected by the storms that devastated countries. She gave up holidays with family to go help complete strangers. This is just 1 of many examples of her always putting others above herself. Donna is a breast cancer survivor as well. Even through those tough times… through all the treatment and everything that comes with that treatment she was always willing to lend a hand wherever she could. She is a mother ×2, a grandmother×4, a Captain in our US Navy, a breast cancer survivor and a hell of a person. I have so much respect for Donna and think she is a military hero if there ever was one.
