Senior Chief (ETCS) Eric Adkins was nominated by his wife Nicole, who had the following to say about him: “My husband served 21 years in the Navy on submarines. He LOVED it! If he wasn’t serving on a sub (6 of them), he was volunteering for a deployment on another, or doing predeployment inspections for them. AND, he only had shore duty TWICE in all those years!! Even though he was gone a lot he was always a great dad and husband, making sure we knew we were loved and thought of. Being a submariner is part of who he is to this day even though he is now retired. We are so proud of him and there isn’t a better way to recognize him than through FM99…he listens every day!”
