Gene Worthy, Army

First Sergeant Gene Worthy was nominated by his daughter Hannah, who had the following to say about him: “My father has always been a hero to both myself and all of my family. He’s been such an incredible role model. Gene spent time in Iraq and Afghanistan. He served 25 years and ranked as an E8, and I will never undermine his hard work. I hope to serve in the reserves too, after college. He makes it all look so easy, but his hard work as a father and a soldier has not been easy. Since retiring he still deploys as a contractor, and in his free time hangs out with his buddies, rides his motorcycle, and hunts.”

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE, GENE!
