Petty Officer Second Class Greg Hutchins was nominated by family friend Kimberly, who had the following to say about him: “He is my sons best friend and almost like my adopted son. He served his country for over 10 years until he was medically discharged. He dedicated his life to the Navy and even when he diagnosed with diabetes and cancer, he kept pushing on and continued serving until he was no longer was able to. He has a wife and two daughters whom are his life. Both of his parents are disabled and he is always there to help them but he is like that with everyone he meets. In my eyes he will always be a Military Hero.”
