Joshua was nominated by his wife Kimberly:
My husband has been through just about everything, and stills has the best outlook on life. He spent 10 years serving his country in the United States Navy, and needs to be recognized. He’s been through countless deployments (including the Middle East), a nasty divorce, and was medically retired due to a terrible knee injury that required multiple surgeries. He is 100% disabled, but still remains as active as possible for his 9-year-old son, who plays multiple sports thanks to his dad. He coaches more than one football team, and the kids all love him to pieces because he’s so passionate about everything he does. Between being a great dad and a wonderful, supporting husband, he’s the biggest and greatest hero we’ve only ever dreamed about protecting us, and we are so blessed to have him in our lives.
